The Watcher by Jeanne Stein

This is the third in this series about Anna Strong, a newly made vampire who is trying to learn to deal with her new powers and needs. I realized why I enjoy these books so much while reading this one. It's because Anna isn't a dumb, powerless girl. Sure she always manages to find trouble, but she deals with it and kicks its ass. She never lets the bad guys win. Or even come close to winning, and I like that. And these books are so full of action (not necessarily the sexy kind, bit its in there too) that it takes me no time at all to read them. And I like that even more.
