Flesh and Bone

I love this book. I've read it at least 5 times and I always discover something new about it. It was written by the same man who wrote The Hours, which was made into a movie with Nicole Kidman. It's about a dysfunctional family throughout the decades and each chapter is from a different family member's perspective. I first read this in high school and it's funny because the characters I loved then are not the ones I find myself identifying with now. I can see the immaturity and the wastefulness in the ones I liked before and find more understanding in others. Rachel or Joy may have read this back then, I'm not sure. It's not the typical reading material we like, but it's well worth the read.
