Evermore by Lynn Viehl

Don't think you guys would be interested in this one because its the fourth book in a series, but some of you may be interested in the series itself. It's about these vampire-like people that call themselves the Darkyn. The first book started out kinda slow, but it really drew me in, and each book after has been more interesting as it delves into their world. And the characters from previous books make appearances in the others. Sometimes it seems like a historical romance because the main characters relive moments from their past, and some of them are many hundreds of years old. If anyone's interested let me know.
