The Watchmen

I finished the complete series last night (It's only 12 issues that are about 30 pages each). I'd been wanting to read it for years, but never had the motivation to. So when I saw the preview for the movie that will be coming out next March I had to read it. The trailer made it seem like it's going to be an action movie, when there really isn't much action in the comic. And I really like the Smashing Pumpkins song that plays with the trailer, it really sets the mood just right.

I hope the story sticks to the comic, because from what I've seen it already looks awesome. So because it's not an action comic it focuses more on people, and society in general. And that makes it a bit depressing, because people are stupid. It's one of those books that make you think about what it's saying, and I think that is what makes it good. There's a deeper meaning to everything. I would recommend it, especially if you plan on seeing the movie next year. Afer I read it I went back and re-watched the trailer and I was like WOW! There are exact panels from the book in the trailer, which impressed me, and did I mention I loved the music. If you haven't seen it yet go check it out.
