The Demon You Know

By Christine Warren. I've read the two previous books in the series and this one didn't measure up. I'm a bit disappointed. It could have been better if there had been more or everything. It felt like getting a taste of a bunch of neat ideas, but they didn't go anywhere interesting.
I need to start reading some better stuff (Betty: Acheron is on my bedside table and I'm taking it in in small doses so that it will last longer).

A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole

YES!!! I've found another series that is awesome (so far). This book was great! The main characters are Emmaline (i love the name) a half vampire/half valkyrie and Lachlaine, king of the Lykae (werewolves). Lachlaine realizes that Emma is his mate and captures her and takes her back to his castle. At first neither one can stand each other. There's great tension, and some "steamy" scenes. I'm pretty sure anyone in DBC would enjoy this one.

50 way to hex your lover by linda wisdom

I have to quit buying books because of the covers. I like fun, cutsie animated covers almost as much as I enjoy hunky scarcley clad men covers, that's why I picked up this book. Because it's kinda cutsie. And the description on the back is ok. And as I started it I was like "ok, this is just the start, it'll get better. something has to happen!" Well the sex didn't start til way after the 100th page and it took even longer for the bad guy to show up, and there wasn't much mystery or suspense, or even passion (in my opinion). If that hasn't deterred your interest then let me tell you what its about. A 700 year old witch, going by the name Jazz (eww) runs into her on-off-again boy-toy who is a vampire. Shes mad at him, they make up and try to solve the mystery of why vamps are disappearing. They find out why, stop the bad guys, and grow closer as a couple. Hell, now you dont even have to read it. Cause that's 361 pages boiled down to a few sentences. OK, so maybe I'm making it worse than it was. It just didn't appeal to me. Maybe I'm too distracted with other crap. If you're interested let me know and I'll bring it to next book club.
